Not sure if y'all have heard of Schoepfs BBQ in Belton but for as long as I've been an adult in the Centex area they were more positively known for their summer music series than their BBQ. With Miller's Smokehouse just a few blocks away comparisons between the two came naturally with Miller's being regarded higher in almost every regard.
Anyways, long story short, Schoepfs has improved tremendously. I went there last weekend and ordered a half pound of brisket, a venison sausage link, half pound of ribs, a brisket taco, a side of charro beans, and a side of cheesy potatoes. Was pretty good stuff. They might have surpassed the more well regarded Millers. Would definitely recommend both.
