Let’s talk boiled crawfish

I do my own boils, but where’s y’alls go to place to eat out—especially San Marcos locals. I’ve heard good things about Lazy J’s near Hunter, but haven’t been yet.
I was up in Burleson last weekend and had a pound as an appetizer—for $10/lbs. They were good, but at that price that was all I was willing to dish out.

$10/lb is ridiculous but I guess that’s Central TX prices due multiple factors. I’m spoiled living in Houston and traveling to S. Louisiana often.

I’m aware of where Burleson, TX is.
I was referring to the longitudinal position within the state. Basically any location not considered E Texas is going to pay $1-2/lb more

There's a place called Crawfish Express in Morgan's Point which is near Temple/Belton that is extremely good. Now I wouldn't call myself a connoisseur by any means but I try to go to just about every pop up crawfish boil in the area and Crawfish Express is the best by far. They also have really great crab legs, shrimp, and boudin. Kind of expensive though but they go and get the crawfish from LA every week. They are only open on Fridays and Saturdays, but they usually sell out early on Saturdays.
