Men's golf traveled to Bowling Green, FL for the Streamsong invitational hosted by Lipscomb University and Streamsong Resort. Sitting in 3rd after round one with a -16 (272) it looks like they stumbled in round 2 with an even par (288) to fall to 7th. A 12 under 276 in the final round moved them up one spot into a tie for 6th with North Alabama. Virginia took home the team title at 56 under par for a 808 total. Host Lipscomb fired a blistering 33 under par in the final round to finish at -49 (815) and move up five spots to finish second alone. Ben James from Virginia fired rounds of 63-65-68=196 to finish in first place at 20 under par. Freshman Sakke Siltala from Finland led the Bobcats with rounds of 67-69-69-205 for an 11 under par total and tie for 10th. Rounding out the team were Kasper Nyland (Jr.) 67-74-67=208 (-8), Marcelo Garza (Jr.) 70-71-70=211 (-5), Harrison Hineline (GT-Rice) 68-74-70=212 (-4), and Tom Karlsen (Jr.) 70-76-73=219 (+3).

The team will host the Tempest Invitational at Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater, TX on Oct 9-11 for their next event.

BTW, it looks like I could have a really great time at Streamsong Resort. Sporting Clays, Bass fishing, and archery among other things to do besides play golf.
