Fairly certain we were targeting NMSU DC, Nate Dreiling, but he was recently hired away by Utah State. I mentioned Robert Bala as someone to monitor based on very little info, and it looks like he parted ways with Bama today. Other than that, I’m not sure.

Jason Washington might have been a solid retread hire if this were a few years ago. Seems like he would jump at an opportunity to get another chance at an on-field role. It’s starting to seem like he’s reached his ceiling and his expiration to be a DC has come and passed.
With Baliff and Nealy I think that’s enough staff connections with our past though. If Craig Bohl didn’t announce his retirement so early or Patke didn’t get poached so late at a high level Jay Sawvel might have been a great get.
