Jade is really developing into a legit baller. 3 weeks ago I wasn’t sure she shouldn’t be recruited over and now I can’t see us without her. Very impressive growth.
Had to look at the stats to see if my thoughts here were valid. Was not only right, but surprised!

1st 14 matches: 1.02 Kills per Set, .85 Blocks per Set, Hitting .245
Last 6 matches: 1.35 Kills per Set and 1.43 Blocks per Set, Hitting .299
That's a 32% improvement in Kills, 68% in Blocks, 23% in Hitting Percentage
Currently leads the team w/ 74 Blocks and in Hitting% @ .289

I had been thinking she lacked confidence and wasn't willing to stick her nose in it up front, but something switched on and she's doing work at the net. Heard her call for a couple of quick sets inside tonight too, so she's got some conviction on offense as well. We've got a really nice rotation in the middle for a while w/ her and Bailey. Kinda like that they are both long and lanky and have similar games.

Walsh isn't a leaper and she doesn't have a big swing, so if she's going to score, she needs to learn how to get crafty.
Noticed something about Walsh's game tonight - she frequently jumps early and gets caught underneath the ball, so she can't get a full swing. When she's patient early and makes contact on top of the ball, she puts some pace on it. Hit .188 tonight and is at .171 for the year. She's so good at everything else - 1st on the team in Serve Reception, 2nd w/ 18 Aces, 3rd in Digs, 3rd in Sets Played.

12K on 25 attacks is outstanding!! Easily her best offensive effort!!
Pushed her season Hitting % from .171 to .191 in 1 match.

RPI is starting to get a little bit interesting. Coming in at #48. Don't know if there is enough meat on the slate between Troy and CCU to catapult us safely into at large territory but win a couple of games in the SBC tournament and we could certainly make a great case.

A sweep vs Troy would be a step in the right direction to securing the 1W seed in the tournament. That'll be a very tough task, then after that CCU pays a daunting visit while Troy only has to play GS at home. A lot to play for right now.

Coastal coming in at #69. I think as long as we at least split those 2 matches (tough task) our RPI should mostly stay intact or just drops a few spots. Opening round of tournament won’t be a great situation for RPI but we may get JMU in the semi final game so I think if we just make it to championship game we may be an at large lock.

We're the 1 seed in the W and JMU is the 1 seed in the E, so we wouldn't meet until the finals.

How is the "Defensive Player of the Year" 2nd team?
Only 2 players with "of the year" honors to not get 1st team are Bobcats.
