Last time we played A&M and Texas in a regional Aggies played host in 2017. We got sort of the 1, 2 punch by Aggie/Longhorn when we were the #2 seed of the regional. That season definitely left a sour taste in the mouth as the team that ultimately knocked us out (Texas) was having an uncharacteristic season (we were 2-0 against them in the regular season and had won the opening regional game).
That 2017 season Rupp had an outstanding season and we had a good supporting cast on offense/fielding with Ortiz, Webb and Young. I feel good about beating Texas once if we can hand the Aggies a loss in the opener and if they can come out of the loser's bracket and beat Texas also.

Feels great to be playing with house money as we essentially had a very slim chance in making it and was the very last team in!

I, for one, hope to be there to support the ladies. As someone pointed out, if we want more equity, we have to support them with our dollars & attendance also.

Of course the worst RPI at large in the tournament is going to be on ESPN2. Congrats Cat!

Not that it is much cooler at 7 than 5 this time of year in Austin. It looks like if most things remain constant baseball will get the 9am game on Saturday, May 27th if they advance to the semifinals of the conference tournament. That will be a nice playing time it being this hot in the spring.
