Still not much but glad the school is stepping up to keep him. Hope they increased the assistant coaches pool too.If buyout is still 50% of remaining, it'll be $2.5 million and decrease from here.
I mean he’s not wrong? The Powerade story is factual during EW (I think?)years. I believe there was an issue with food or nutrition as well?
I feel like this Powerade story coming out really kicked off the Fire Ties movement from us fansI mean he’s not wrong? The Powerade story is factual during EW (I think?)years. I believe there was an issue with food or nutrition as well?
we’ve come along way with the Bun and Larry not around. Imagine that.
If the terms were the same as his last contract, then yes his buyout would be 2.5MM today. That would mean we would only get an extra 500K in buyout if he was poached today vs last December, not exactly earth shattering and doesn't really keep a lower P5 away. Unless they guaranteed $3.75MM (75% of his remaining contract) which by TXST standards would be a pretty good little buyout. The buyout for 75% guaranteed for $5MM contract would have come out the same for 50% guaranteed $7.5MM contract @ $1.5MM/year.If buyout is still 50% of remaining, it'll be $2.5 million and decrease from here.
My guess was somewhere around $1.2M, but with incentives at 8 wins, that could be more realistic. Was hoping for at least 1.5m per year
Sounds like there was an increase for assistants, which is equally as important as increasing Kinne's salary. Was hoping for at least 1.5m per year - if they really believe he’s the guy they should push the envelope. I’ll reserve some judgement though until we learn more about assistant pay.
So does his incentives for this year automatically update under the new contract?incentives for 8+ is excellent.
If reports are correct, it's a 5 year contract that runs through 2028, so starts next year.So does his incentives for this year automatically update under the new contract?
