Getting either team wasn't going to be a net positive for being able to widdle away some late season statement wins when all the major teams are playing huge matchups this time of year. Playing Marshall might work out better for RPI since they are already 3X on the previous schedule. The downside is facing a lineup for the 4th time as recently as last weekend who was very much unintimidated by Mullins.
To our benefit: Alabama lost, and Georgia walked off Auburn in 14 innings. Still to come today: Arkansas vs Mizzou, Stanford vs Cal, Notre Dame vs FSU, Georgia Tech vs Virginia Tech, Florida vs TBD, UVA vs Clemson

Looks like UL will have plenty of energy if they are still around on Saturday. Up 5-0 UL on JMU in the 2nd and is looking to run rule (if it's in effect in the tournament?). Bobcat Park might even feel like a home game for them.

Marshall has been living out of a hotel room for over a week now in hot weather they aren’t used to waiting around to play a game that won’t start until at least 8:30 EST. If we can’t run them off the field then we have bigger problems. Meanwhile we are at home..

My fuck. This sloppy ass defense just couldn’t make it just 2 games in a row without rearing its nasty head again with several epic miscues. I see why Kelnar was the starter behind the plate despite not being able to hit Bass just can’t squeeze balls behind the plate.
