the noles havent been a yearly 10 win dynasty team since before bowdens last 5 yrs. theyll never be back to that kind of form where in a 10 yr period their floor is 9 wins. fisher ran that program into the ground. this yr and last are anomalies
It is really what we should be. So many similarities- same colors, multiple name changes, the “State” school of each state, teachers colleges; they had Burt Reynolds; we have George Strait.

Disagree again. The FSU that played in the ACCCG was clearly not the FSU that played the 1st 11 games. Any time you have X slots and X+ openings, someone's going to get left out. Sucks for them, but injuries happen and they absolutely matter.

Because then you would have a team who can’t compete in the playoffs.

Can you argue that FSU is better than Bama today? No.
Who cares? Just a bunch of paid people sitting in a room with options. FSU beat all the teams in front of them. Bama didn't. Can't wait for expanded payoff and all major conference champs auto get in. People might be mad at the teams they argue for further down the line but at least you won't have an undefeated power conference champ that still won games with their QB sitting out.

We don't know that. They are considered a power 5 school, although weaker than the sec, they still won every game on their schedule and have not been defeated.

Doesn't matter who would win. Should be based off of performance.

Offense is in shambles, but their defense could stack up against anyone

Georgia is better than UM, UT and UW, by these arguments they should of been in. And don't say they didn't win their conference because the argument is the four best teams.
Leave Georgia out of this... Logic obviously wasn't used by the committee so you shouldn't use it either.

I get that. But FSU didn't lose.

Personally I don't think UT should've been in there, but the NCAA has wanted UT to be good for a long time. Maybe it's just because I hate them so that opinion should go down just as that.
Florida State forfeited the opportunity to play for a national championship when they scheduled weak OOC opponents. They are already in a weak conference so they need to schedule real opponents out of conference to make up for that and they chose not to. Now they are suffering the consequences of their stupid decision. No one wants to see another blowout like Georgia and TCU.

Scheduling North Alabama is like taking that “Magic, Sorcery, and the Occult” fuckoff class at SWT to boost your GPA.

Agree. FSU, much like TCU and Max Duggan last year, were mostly a one man show. They would have gotten clobbered in the CFP by any one of those teams who made it in. Even with Jordan Travis, it would have been reminiscent of when FSU played VTech with Michael Vick. An electric player who masked deficiencies in the overall team.

FSU OOC games - LSU (neutral site), Southern Miss, Florida, and North Alabama.

Alabama OOC games - Middle Tennessee, Texas, South Florida, Chattanooga.

Ya FSU wasn’t playing world beaters in non conference games but let’s not act like they had all cream puffs. Take out LSU and Texas and the non conference slate for both FSU & Alabama wasn’t night and day easier than the other.
