Rough ending after having the lead headed into 7th (been a theme in late Sunday games) to go on and play another 4 innings to give it away. First time to drop below a 14 RPI in a month. Move to 1-3 on series finales.

Just winning a series from here on out isn’t going to cut it from a hosting prospective. Going to need 3 more sweeps and take 2/3 from ULL. Don’t really think there’s a chance in hell that a SBC team that isn’t at least regular season co-champs hosts.

Pitching made it through 11 innings without allowing a single earned run until the 12th despite giving up 12 hits and 6 walks. Can’t fault pitching for 3/4 of the runs coming unearned, or the 15 runners left on. No reason we couldn’t get 6 runs across in 12 innings.

What a weird day in Austin tomorrow. Both softball and baseball programs play simultaneously in the same sports complex H2H and very few of us on here get LHN. Couldn’t they have flipped the Tuesday-Wednesday site locations for baseball so they weren’t going on at the same location at the same time without either one on ESPN+?

Winner of softball game will temporarily have bragging rights as being arguably the best team in the state of Texas and loser of baseball game will have accepted a status as one of the worst teams in Texas.

Big implications for both Longhorn softball and bobcat softball the next 4 games. Longhorns pretty much lockup being a national host seed if they win the next 4 if they haven’t already. And TXST gets that much closer to hosting becoming a reality by winning the next 4.
